Senior Program
Taulama for Tongans provides a monthly program for Tongan Seniors to gather, share a meal, learn about a health topic, share in cultural activities, build community and prevent isolation. This is the only Tongan speaking senior program in the Bay Area.
Tobacco Prevention
Taulama for Tongans is currently building our infrastructure to provide more tobacco prevention services and education.
Interpretation
Taulama for Tongans assists the San Mateo County Behavioral Health and Educational systems with interpretation services for monolingual Tongan families.
Health Navigation
Taulama for Tongans offers direct medical linkage, resources, appointment reminders, advocacy, and 1:1 support for attendance.
Translation
Taulama for Tongans is the only local organization that can provide written and verbal translation services. We have worked with the school district and medical systems to provide document translation.
Cancer Prevention
Taulama for Tongans has provided some of the only research and interventions for cancer specific to the Tongan community, We have worked with the University of Michigan, Kellogg Foundation, Asian Pacific Islander Health Forum, and locally with San Mateo County Department of Health.
